Netaji Higher Secondary School presents

Netaji Chess Academy

Every student. Every year. Chess. A structured learning journey from Class 5 to Class 12 that develops thoughtful minds, responsible choices and strength of character.

WE TEACH CHESS BECAUSE THE HABIT OF THINKING AHEAD CAN CHANGE A CHILD’S LIFE.
Our mission

Chess is not an occasional activity. It is part of how we educate.

At Netaji HSS, every child learns chess continuously from Class 5 to Class 12. The academy uses the discipline of chess to strengthen concentration, patience, foresight, ethical judgment and the confidence to make responsible decisions.

01

Concentration

Observe carefully, remain present and give every decision proper attention.

02

Foresight

Consider possible responses and understand what may happen next.

03

Responsibility

Own every choice, learn from mistakes and make the next move better.

04

Character

Respect rules, opponents and fair play—whether winning or losing.

A continuous journey

Eight years of learning to think.

The programme grows with the student. Each stage connects chess skills with the decisions children face in school and in life.

Think Five

Before an important move, students learn to pause and ask five questions.

1
PurposeWhy am I making this move?
2
PossibilitiesWhat other choices do I have?
3
ConsequencesWhat could happen next, and who may be affected?
4
ValuesIs this honest, fair and responsible?
5
ActionWhat is the wisest move—and will I own it?
The Chess Pledge
“I will pause before I act. I will consider my choices and their consequences. I will respect others, play fairly and make responsible moves—in chess and in life.”
